Ala Mairi is a luxury ethical fashion brand producing stunning ladies clothing and accessories focusing on hand dyed, woven and embroidered fabrics. Many of our dresses feature fine lacework giving each dress unique characteristics. We also offer a made to measure bespoke service.
The artisans we work with are independent and small-scale, ensuring our clients enjoy not only beautiful clothing but also have the satisfaction of supporting traditional craftsmanship in Scotland and Pakistan.
We believe that high fashion and ethical living are a match made to last, and we do everything we can to ensure a fair, constructive, and dynamic relationship with our artisans and their communities. We see our role as not just designers, but as conservators, meaning we believe deeply in the need to foster and preserve these skills. All of our artisans are independent, small-scale, and true to the rich traditions of Scottish and Pakistani craftsmanship.
Ala Mairi is a luxury ethical fashion brand focused on all hand dyed, woven and embroidered fabrics. This way we are eco-friendly. We are ethical because in Scotland we are involved with artisans and finest craftsmanship of handloom weaving. We believe in integrity of our handloom weavers by identifying and showcasing their passion and work of art.
In Pakistan we are supporting Women's Welfare Centers in Rawalpindi where we train women for the excellence of hand embroidery skills.
We use 100% silks, and source 100% natural yarns from the start of process till finish. And we support zero waste.
