Flourishing People is a specialist people development and training consultancy located in Suffolk and serving clients throughout England.It is run by Jacqui Burke who founded the business in 2001. We work with SMEs and social enterprises providing a range of tailored people development, training and HR solutions including:business,leadership & management training, team development events, coaching and mentoring, and HR support.
Our Social and Environmental Activities
Flourishing People has achieved GOLD Accreditation by the Responsible Business Standard. At Flourishing People, we recognise that all organisations impact on the society and the environment in which they operate in a variety of different ways. We have in place policies and procedures which aim to ensure that any negative impacts are minimised and that we use our capability to impact positively where possible.
We encourage our staff to consider ways in which they can make a positive impact on our society. As such they offer their time and expertise in a variety of ways which include:
-Volunteering (especially in the education sector)
-Making donations (we choose to support local charities operating in the fields of support for children and for people living with cancer)
-Undertaking or supporting sponsored activities and other fund raising events
-Purchasing goods from organisations that donate a percentage of their profit to charities (in particular breast cancer awareness charities).
As a minimum, Flourishing People will comply with any environmental legislation that applies to our business. In additional to this we endeavour to minimise the impact that delivery of our projects and services has on the environment where ever practicable, and to support any steps taken by our clients to do the same. Our efforts to reduce our carbon footprint have been recognised by a Silver Award by the Suffolk Carbon Charter in 2013 and again in 2015.
