Our Social and Environmental Activities
Marketing Simply Ltd is built on strong values of being ethical and honest, if we do not know how to do something we will tell our customers and then find out how we can help. Every team member is their own boss and works from home including HQ where the office is a converted summerhouse in the garden. The impact is the team do not have the stress or the increased emissions of getting into a work location. Every team member has a contract and is paid promptly on the same day each month.
Team meetings happen bi-monthly or more if needed, where we try and share any concerns in the team and any new information that needs to shared such as best practice awareness. Our meetings focus around a meal or cake so that the team are fed and every team member is given the opportunity to have their input.
We do our best to empower the team to be the best they can and positively encourage our team to work on the tasks that suit their skillset and desire, harnessing creative energy and motivation in the team. While those who wish to learn are encouraged and supported on their professional journey.
The office while heated by an electric heater has ample glass windows which mean when the sun peeks out, even a little bit the office warms up, all the light fittings are energy efficient light bulbs and this as a collective reduces the impact on the environment and minimizes the commute stress often experienced by a different way of working, considered the norm. We even have an office cat who keeps herself to herself, sharing purrs and cuddles at appropriate times. We have a fun brand and are known for our colourful geek specs which help to embrace one of our core values of fun which you can find on any of our social media channels.
Client meetings are chunked up together in similar locations so to minimise emissions and the majority of communication is carried out via the telephone, Skype or email so meetings are kept to a minimum.
We support a number of regional charities including Farleigh Hospice whom we fundraised for including skydiving and a team member shaving her head, we supported Little Princess Foundation when the Director shaved all of her hair off. Locally we support One Dog at a Time, a local dog rescue by building/hosting their website and supporting them with their Facebook page. Further afield we support Centrepoint monthly, a London based charity to support getting homeless young people off the street and into society. Greenpeace monthly, who work to protect the planet, the animals and environment. We paid to offset the carbon we produce through an initiative called the Forest and Sea Fund which supports innovative forest and ocean conservation projects around the world. Through a partnership with CarboTax.org, a web-based application that allows people to offset their climate impact, individuals and businesses can donate a voluntary carbon tax.
