Athena Training UK Ltd based in East London offers a variety of training courses including First Aid, Paediatric First Aid, Health & Safety, Food Safety, Statutory Fire Training, Care Assistant Training, Equality & Diversity, Leadership & Management and Project Management. After many years in the ambulance service, we take first aid and health and well being very seriously - we practice what we preach. We also ensure our staff and sub-contractors are fully trained and qualified and always aim to exceed customer expectations.
We use public transport whenever possible and have a switch off policy to ensure safety and reduced environmental impact. We are passionate about preserving our countryside and heritage and are members of both the National Trust and English Heritage.
Athena offers free weekly community first aid classes and paediatric first aid classes are offered through the maternity wing of the two main hospitals. Managing director Michael Wear has volunteered for St Johns Ambulance for over 35 years from 1977 and is on the board of The Association of First Aiders, the committee of the local St Johns Ambulance Service, and also on the Local Advisory Board for Redbridge College.
