Founded in 2017, Peoples Energy offers a new business model for energy suppliers based on the principle that access to energy is a fundamental human right. And that the energy they supply should be sustainable.
A social enterprise, Peoples Energy is committed to seeing an end to fuel poverty, whilst respecting the planet. At the time of writing (Aug 20), we are the only Community Interest Company energy supplier in the UK, and the only one crowdfunded by 2,000 people who share our vision.
• 100% renewable electricity
• 75% of profits back to our members in the form of a rebate, once we are profitable
• 10:1 pay ratio, so no-one can be paid more than the lowest paid worker
• Living Wage employer
• Mental Health support for staff
• Elected customer representatives sit on the Board and our Board minutes are published on our website.

Since small beginnings, Peoples Energy is now a rapidly growing gas and electricity supplier with a purpose, serving 180,000 customers across the UK (as at August 2020).
We have the welfare of our communities at the heart of everything we do, dedicated to ending fuel poverty, rather than profiteering. We are green and ethical and always put people and the planet first.
