Company Profile

Pure Planet Recycling collect and recycle all types of electrical waste. This includes fridges/freezers, lighting, IT and office electrical equipment.

We also provide the service of destroying all types of IT storage media. This ensures any data contained with equipment, hard drives, media tapes etc.. can be shredded both on and off customers sites.

Established back in 2007, we have grown the company to a nationwide collection service.

Our Social and Environmental Activities

As a waste management company we take our environmental responsibilities seriously. We hold ISO14001 accreditation for our Environmental Management System and every part of the business is assessed to help reduce our impact. We reuse as much equipment, paper, printer toners etc. that come in from customers equipment, thoroughly testing as part of the process. We also audit our suppliers to ensure they also meet our checklist to qualify as a supplier.

We are based in a rural location in Bedfordshire. We are an active member of the local community and provide help and support to others. For example, we offer a free of charge data destruction service to the public. We were receiving phone calls where customers didn't know how to destroy their data before recycling a computer. Now the general public can send in their hard drive via courier for us to destroy and provide a certificate of destruction all free of charge.

Over the years we have donated reusable IT equipment to charities within our local community and will continue to do so. Requests are received and logged and as and when we can we repurpose the equipment out to them. We are currently looking at further opportunities and how to cast the net wider whilst ensuring that the equipment is fit for purpose.
