Company Profile

A University spinout (Kirby & Healey-Benson) with a new approach to entrepreneurship that has implications not only for new venture creation but entrepreneurship education. Our ecosystem is facing numerous challenges, e.g., climate change, resource depletion, and social inequality. Traditional forms of entrepreneurship which focus primarily on wealth creation contribute to these problems. Harmonious entrepreneurship takes a systems-thinking approach and recognizes the interconnected nature of the ecosystem to create a holistic model for business that can help address these challenges and create a more sustainable future. Our company aims to support educators in facilitating harmonious entrepreneurship, equip young adults with the knowledge and skills to launch harmonious entrepreneurial ventures and encourage research into the outcomes of this approach. We also aim to recognize and disseminate research findings and best practices through publication and conference presentations.

Our Social and Environmental Activities

Our education research, practice, and business endeavours embrace the five PROSPER aspects of developing harmonious enterprise as identified by El-Kaffass (2007); namely,

PRO: Professionally based: taking state-of-the-art quality measures to develop, improve and grow the business

S: Spiritually and ethically inspired: emanating from a principle of doing good on earth – benefit the environment and the wholeness of the world, ensuring equilibrium and justice and sustaining the initial harmony of the universe.

P: Physically/materially concerned: supporting improvement in the health and well-being of people and the physical environment, including air, earth, seas, and space

E: Emotionally rooted: serving and benefitting the community

R: Rationally and Intellectually based: creative and innovative, finding smart and novel solutions.
